Thrive For Glory: “All American”

All American is more than the classic tale of a big fish in a small pond. It’s an inspiring reflection of the daily struggles experienced by urban, African American youth. Viewers are privy to the unique challenges associated with the cultural demographic and the disadvantaged social class. Education and sports are commendably showcased as tools that will transform youth into something greater. An underdog with feelings of misplacement has a universal appeal that’s sure to resonate with audiences. The new CW series is sensitively rendered and relatable towards today’s youth. Amidst the rising tension, there are still light-hearted elements such as teen parties, crushes, and everyday school life. All American offers a compelling cast of characters and a protagonist worth cheering on.

Taye Diggs, Daniel Ezra, Samantha Logan, and Michael Evans Behling star in the soon to a be popular show. Rob Hardy directs the series. The heartfelt drama is inspired by the life of NFL player Spencer Paysinger. All American is scheduled to air October 10 at 9:00 pm EST.
