The Young Executives Honors Community Leaders at 2nd Annual Gala

This past weekend, The Young Executives Foundation Inc. held the 2nd annual Executive Gala and Award Show honoring those who epitomize excellence in the community. This night of black excellence gave leaders, influencers and support the chance to network and support one another while shining a light on those who go above and beyond to inspire the community and the next generation. Hosted by Anisa Brenee, the evening wouldn’t have been complete without performances by poet Tia Tuggle, artists Cydnei Chyan and Jaye Newton and DJ SeanCool who kept the crowd going all evening long.

Winners included  Monica Robinson (Humanitarian Of The Year), Chef Justin Robinson (Curator Of The Year), Deonte Bridges (Gandhi Award Recipient), Asha Bashir (Spark Award Recipient) and Brooklynn Summers (The Young Executive Award Recipient).

Founded by Keith Crawford and Anquita Mitchell, the annual Executives Gala is an event where guests and nominees celebrate the success of one another in one room, all for a great purpose. This event wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the advisory board which includes Zachariah Chanet-(Community Outreach Coordinator), Tori Taylor (Communications Coordinator), Taylor Aberhart (Events Coordinator). All funds raised for the event go to the Executives Mentoring program. The program specializes in teaching our youth about equity, credit, and pivotal life lessons that aren’t necessarily taught in schools. The main concern with the 2nd Annual Gala was an elevation of experience from the 1st Annual. This year’s celebration included a live band, an award segment, formal seating with hors-d’oeuvre and the gala wardrobe while still remaining true to the power of networking and the investment in your future.
