TC Carson shines at “Jazz on the Hill” Concert

TC Carson and his 3 piece jazz band wowed audiences this past Saturday evening at Hillside International Truth Center’s 47 years of ministry celebration.  The night, entitled “Jazz on the Hill”, brought listeners together to enjoy outside entertainment with food, music, vendors, and fun. Also on the program, that night was vocalist L’Tanya “Sugarlips” Shields and her band with several soulful selections and a tribute to the late Aretha Franklin.

Throughout the evening several people paid homage to Dr. Barbara Lewis King for her years of commitment to ministry and service who was also in attendance.  During Carson’s set he included an array of music including a jazzy rendition of the Julie Andrews classic “My Favorite Things”, “I Can’t Stand the Rain”, a sultry cover of Prince’s “I Wanna Be Your Lover”, and more! He also concluded his set with his classic hit that was performed on Living Single “My Funny Valentine”.
