NFL suspends Giants’ Nikita Whitlock 10 games

Giants fullback, Nikita Whitlock, is suspended 10 games without pay for violating NFL policy on performance enhancing substances, according to ESPN’s, Adam Schefter.

Full statement from the NFL:

Nikita Whitlock of the New York Giants has been suspended without pay for the team’s next 10 games for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.Whitlock, who is currently on the reserve/injured list, will begin serving his suspension immediately.

Whitlock was placed on injured reserve after sustaining a foot injury during the Giants’ preseason game against the Jets.

He was expected to start at fullback this season. Whitlock played in 14 games with five starts last season, before suffering a season ending knee injury against the Carolina Panthers.
