Dwayne Wade and DSquared2 Collab for Saks Fifth Avenue
Dwayne Wade is not your typical basketball player because he also moonlights as a fashion influencer when he’s not guarding for the Chicago Bulls. The athlete has partnered with Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared2 for a collection that is exclusive to Saks Fifth Avenue.
Wade was just in New York at the Saks Fifth Avenue on 5th Avenue to celebrate the capsule collection. According to Womens Wear Daily, Wade became familiar with the twin brothers of Dsquared2 after he saw their runway show during Milan Fashion Week back in 2011. Wade said he fell in love with the theatrics of the show and went backstage to meet them.
He has been dressed by the fashion duo and they also attended his wedding about three years ago. Wade has grown close to the designers and from their relationship, this new fashion collaboration was born.
The collection includes nine pieces that include a leather biker jacket, graphic tee, jogging pants, denim shirt, and a tuxedo jacket. All three men can be seen wearing pieces from the collection on their Instagram pages. Only select Saks stores will carry the collection but the store’s website carries every item.
