Get ready to return to Eternia. Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Studios have just dropped a brand-new trailer for the highly anticipated Masters of the Universe movie, giving us an even deeper look into the epic live-action reimagining of the iconic franchise.
Directed by Travis Knight, the story follows Prince Adam, played by Nicholas Galitzine. After being separated from his home for 15 years, Adam is guided back to Eternia by the legendary Sword of Power. However, a warm homecoming is not in the cards. He arrives to discover his world completely shattered and suffering under the fiendish rule of the ultimate villain, Skeletor, portrayed by Jared Leto.
To save his family and reclaim his world, Adam has to embrace his true destiny as He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe. Of course, he won’t be fighting this battle alone. He must join forces with his closest allies to take down Skeletor, teaming up with Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan, also known as Man-At-Arms, played by the incomparable Idris Elba.
The live-action feature also stars Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, and Charlotte Riley, with Kristen Wiig stepping into the universe as the voice of the cybernetic warrior “Roboto.”
Masters of the Universe officially hits U.S. theaters on June 5, 2026. Check out the trailer below.
