McDonald’s is officially entering its luxury era, at least for Valentine’s Day. Just in time for the season of love, the fast-food giant announced it will be serving caviar with its Chicken McNuggets, offering fans a tongue-in-cheek take on fine dining that mixes indulgence with internet-savvy flair.
Beginning February 10, McDonald’s will drop its first-ever McNugget® Caviar Kit, available exclusively online and completely free while supplies last.
The limited-edition kits are inspired by what McDonald’s calls a “perfect match”: crispy, golden Chicken McNuggets paired with the salty pop of premium caviar. To bring the concept to life, the brand partnered with Paramount Caviar, known for its Baerii Sturgeon caviar, adding an upscale edge to the interesting pairing.
Each McNugget® Caviar Kit includes a one-ounce tin of Baerii Sturgeon caviar, a $25 Arch Card® to cover plenty of Chicken McNuggets, crème fraîche, and a Mother of Pearl caviar spoon. The kits drop at 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday, February 10, exclusively at McNuggetCaviar.com.
According to McDonald’s, the idea taps into fans’ existing enjoyment of remixing the brand’s classics. “To be known is to be loved,” the company said in its announcement, leaning into the idea that food culture today thrives on unexpected pairings, social media moments, and limited drops that feel more like streetwear than supper.
McDonald’s is betting that the familiar crunch of its McNuggets and the briny richness of caviar will feel both ironic and indulgent, a match “made in heaven” for special occasions, or at least for a Valentine’s post that grabs attention.
The McNugget® Caviar Kits won’t be sold in restaurants, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. Fans are encouraged to follow McDonald’s on Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook for additional Valentine’s Day surprises tied to the release.
