A new love story focusing on presence, music, and intimacy is officially underway in Philadelphia. Production has begun on 93 ’Til, a romantic drama that unfolds over the course of a single day in the City of Brotherly Love.

The film marks the feature directorial debut of Alterik Miller, following the festival success of his short film Laundry, and centers on a connection that forms not through grand gestures, but through time, attention, and shared space.

Starring Petey McGee and Sophia Lucia Parola, 93 ’Til follows Rahmell and Yannie, two young creatives navigating their own quiet crossroads. Rahmell is a struggling artist, while Yannie is a vintage clothing curator carrying the weight of inherited dreams. Over the span of one day, the two make a conscious choice that feels increasingly radical in a hyper-connected world: they slow down.

As they move through Philadelphia together, guided by music, art, and memory, the film becomes less about plot and more about feeling. It explores what happens when two people allow themselves to be fully present, without screens, distractions, or expectations.

At its core, 93 ’Til asks a simple question: can love take hold when nothing in modern life is designed to linger?

The project leans into a neo-soul sensibility, using the rhythm of the city as an emotional backdrop. Philadelphia isn’t just a setting; it’s a collaborator. From its streets to its creative energy, the city frames the story’s intimacy and reinforces the film’s meditation on stillness in a culture that rarely pauses.

The supporting cast includes LaRoyce Hawkins, Taryn Delanie Smith, Kris D. Lofton, and Keith Arthur Bolden, alongside Philadelphia-based talent such as Skeet Carter.

Written by Miller, 93 ’Til is currently shooting on location throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. The film is produced by Hawkins, with Richard Noel and McGee producing for Momentum Film Works, alongside Miller and Samuel C. Morrison Jr. for Deck of Cards Entertainment.

We’ll be watching out for more details on 93 ‘Til.
