Jalen Hurts has done it. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is now a Super Bowl champion. After years of resilience, leadership, and near misses, Hurts delivered on the biggest stage, leading the Eagles to victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

This marks Hurts’ second Super Bowl appearance, with his first coming just two seasons ago in Super Bowl LVII, where the Eagles fell in a heartbreaker to the Chiefs, 38-35.

Despite the loss, Hurts delivered one of the greatest Super Bowl performances of all time, throwing for 304 yards, rushing for 70 yards, and scoring four touchdowns.

This time around, Hurts made sure history wouldn’t repeat itself with the Eagles winning 40-22. Hurts was also named Super Bowl LIX MVP.

Hurts’ journey to NFL stardom has been defined by grit and determination. After a storied college career at Alabama and Oklahoma, he was selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft—a move that was initially met with skepticism.

However, Hurts quickly proved himself, taking over the starting quarterback job in 2021 and leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance in 2023. Though they fell short in that game, he finished second in MVP voting that season and earned a record-breaking contract extension in 2023, making him one of the highest-paid players in NFL history.

Now, after years of coming close to the ultimate goal, Hurts finally hoisted the Lombardi Trophy.

When the final whistle blew, the Eagles were crowned Super Bowl champions.

Hurts’ first Super Bowl win comes just months after another major milestone in his personal life—his engagement to longtime girlfriend Bryonna ‘Bry’ Burrows.

The couple, who have been together since their college days at Alabama, have always kept their relationship private. However, Hurts confirmed their engagement in September 2024. Now, just months later, he has added a Super Bowl ring to go along with his soon-to-be wedding ring.

With his first Super Bowl title, two NFC Championships, and a record-breaking contract, Jalen Hurts has cemented himself as the face of the Eagles franchise for years to come.
