BET debuted the new season of its award-winning digital series, For The Fellas.
For The Fellas garnered over 30 million views in its first season. The series has created a space for Black men to share their thoughts, struggles, and successes in an authentic and relatable way. It has been lauded for its ability to provide nuanced discussions about Black masculinity, fatherhood, and identity, featuring a mix of rising stars and established figures in entertainment.
The special premiere episode of For The Fellas: New Beginnings, hosted by Brian ‘B-Mac’ McIntosh, featured candid conversations with singer Jacquees, rising actor and athlete Kordell Beckham—brother of Odell Beckham Jr.—and actor Da’Vinchi

During the episode, the trio discuss the importance of their children carrying their last names and the legacies tied to them.
Jacquees says he’s going the hyphenated route. “With my child, it was never a thing where he wasn’t gonna have my last name,” he shares. “Her last name means a lot. My last name, I’m standing on it. We’re gonna put both last names.”
Kordell says it’s all about legacy. “If I get married and have a kid with her…she’s building a new legacy on her last name. And then I still got my legacy with my last name. It started from Pops to my brother, to me, to whoever else,” Beckham shares.
For Da’Vinchi, not having his last name was never an option. He said, “That wouldn’t even be a question. I didn’t even know you could argue that.”
