Thaddeus Moss, son of NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss, has publicly denied recent claims that his father is battling liver cancer.
The allegations, initially shared by Larry Fitzgerald Sr., father of NFL star Larry Fitzgerald, sparked concern in the football community. However, Thaddeus took to social media to refute the claims and criticize Fitzgerald Sr. for spreading misinformation.
“This is disgusting. You have no right to try to make private matters public for the sake of engagement. I do not believe my father talks to you, so check your f****** sources,” Thaddeus wrote on X (formerly Twitter). His frustration was directed at Fitzgerald Sr.’s post, now deleted, during the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame Ceremony, which claimed Moss was dealing with liver cancer and called for prayers and support.
When retired NFL quarterback Brett Favre shared his well-wishes online, Thaddeus responded with gratitude but reiterated that the claims were false. “Brett, the support is appreciated, truly. This is not true. My father will address the world when he is ready to.”
The original speculation about Randy Moss’s health stemmed from his recent absence from ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown and his use of sunglasses during a broadcast, following public comments about a personal health matter. Moss has not directly addressed the rumors nor confirmed any details about his health condition.
