VaShawn Mitchell Releases New Single 'See the Goodness' Featuring Donnie McClurkin

Gospel recording artist VaShawn Mitchell has graced us yet again with a new single.

See the Goodness features fellow gospel artist Donnie McClurkin and comes from Mitchell's See the Goodness EP. The two powerhouse vocalists have yet again come together to give the joy people need in these current times.

The 7x Stellar Award winner has released this song as the first single from the new EP. Mitchell has been in the industry since the age of 20 when he began working with his mentor Lonnie Hunter at St. Mark Baptist Church in his hometown Harvey, Illinois. Mitchell went on to become a minister of music and in 1998 Mitchell produced and released his first solo project So Satisfied.

In 2011, Mitchell gained mainstream recognition with the release of his most-played gospel single Nobody Greater. The song spent a total of nine weeks on the Billboard Gospel Songs chart and was nominated at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. In the span of his career, Mitchell has released 10 EPs and studio albums.

When asked about working with 3x Grammy winner McClurkin, Mitchell stated that McClurkin has always been like a mentor to him. Mitchell waited for the perfect song for the two of them to collaborate. Mitchell states, “Sometimes when a person is waiting on God for their breakthrough, the weight of the wait gets hard and a person could wonder ‘Is what I’ve been believing in God for still going to manifest, and if so, will I even be alive to see it?’ I wrote this song, to tell that person, ‘Yes you can and yes you will!’ That’s why the song says, ‘You’re going to live until you see it!’ So, to anyone who hears this song, allow it to minister to you and activate your expectation of seeing God’s hand unfold in your life.”
