Bistro Niko Brings an Authentic Twist to French Cuisine to Atlanta

Picture it, it's a chilly night in Atlanta and you gather your friends to try something new. Based on a recommendation from a trusted source, you end up at Bistro Niko, one of Atlanta's most notable French restaurants. Bistro Niko is a nod to Paris with its modern French fare, right in the heart of Buckhead, Atlanta. Offering an attractive and extensive list of wines, cocktails, and craft beer, you can be sure to find something to fit your taste. The menu offers French cuisine classics with an innovative twist. Some of the restaurant's specialties include a charcuterie board, veal tenderloins chasseur, as well as fresh oysters and Maine scallops.

Our evening started off with a few appetizers including the season Mushroom Tarte Gruyère & Fontina cheese, chives (pictured above) followed by Jambon et Asparagus (thinly sliced prosciutto, warm jumbo asparagus, poached egg, mustard vinaigrette). Rillettes De Salmon (fresh cold-smoked salmon spread, toast points).

As if we weren't already pleased by the flavors of the amazing appetizers we had just devoured, now it was time for dinner. We first had to clear away the empty plates from the previous course, loosen our belts and prepare for more. We all decided it was best to order individually but share each dish so we all experience the greatness that we were promised. Then we ended the night with some of the tastiest desserts that I've had in a while.

Maine Sea Scallops St Jacques with Asparagus, Potato puree, sorrel white wine sauce

Mustard Crusted Roast Pork Belly with pickled vegetables.

Steak Au Poivre Beef tenderloins(Pepper crusted, brandied cream mushrooms, sautéed spinach but we substituted the spinach for Brussel sprouts).

Creme Brulee a La Vanilla (vanilla custard, hard caramel crust)

Tarte Au Citron (citrus tart, meringue brulée, mandarin orange sorbet).

I can only assume that after you've read this, you're hungry or excited to try some of these dishes. Needless to say, I left satisfied and looking forward to returning. If you're ever in the mood or the area, make sure you visit. They are located at 3344 Peachtree Road NE Atlanta, GA 30326
