Chef Kwame Onwuachi will return to host Link Up: A Celebration of Afro-Caribbean Cuisine, and chef Marcus Samuelsson will host Overtown EatUp! at the 26th annual Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, which runs February 25 to 28, 2027. Tickets went on sale today.
The festival will feature more than 90 events stretching from Homestead to Miami Beach and as far north as Fort Lauderdale.
The Two Events to Know
Link Up takes place on Friday, February 26, at the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel in Miami Beach. According to the festival, Onwuachi “returns to host a celebration of Afro-Caribbean cuisine, bringing the bold flavors and rich culinary traditions of the Caribbean” to the hotel.
Onwuachi is the chef behind Tatiana at Lincoln Center in New York City, Dōgon in Washington, D.C., and Maroon at the Sahara Las Vegas, which opened in April 2026. He won the James Beard Foundation’s Rising Star Chef of the Year award in 2019, and The New York Times named Dōgon one of the 50 best restaurants in the U.S. in 2025.
Overtown EatUp! follows on Sunday, February 28, at The Urban in Miami. Hosted by Samuelsson, the event “shines a light on the chefs, flavors and culinary culture of Miami’s historic Overtown neighborhood,” the festival said.
The event plays on home turf for Samuelsson, whose restaurant group runs Red Rooster Overtown in the same neighborhood, a sister to his flagship Red Rooster in Harlem. Born in Ethiopia and raised in Sweden, he built his name as a judge on Chopped, as the 2010 winner of Top Chef Masters, and as the guest chef for the Obama White House’s first state dinner in 2009. He has won multiple James Beard Awards, including Best Chef: New York City in 2003.
Both events appear in the festival’s lineup of returning favorites. Its signature events are led by Food Network personalities, including Rachael Ray‘s Burger Bash on Thursday, Guy Fieri’s Tournament of Champions LIVE on Friday, and Aarón Sánchez‘s Tacos & Tequila on Saturday. Andrew Zimmern closes the festival on Sunday.
