IHG Hotels & Resorts is bringing its InterContinental brand to Grenada with a 120-room beachfront resort on La Sagesse Bay. The company’s booking page now lists the opening as December 1.
Press announcements earlier this year had targeted November 2026. IHG’s site lists the property as InterContinental Grenada Resort & Spa, while earlier releases called it InterContinental Grenada-La Sagesse.
The resort sits in St. David Parish, next to Six Senses La Sagesse. According to IHG’s announcement, guests at either property can use dining, activities, and amenities at both. Caribbean Journal reports it is about a 20-minute drive from Maurice Bishop International Airport.

What’s Inside
Every room and suite looks out on the bay or the resort grounds. There are five places to eat and drink: Mosaic, an all-day Caribbean restaurant; Coralie, an open-air Mediterranean spot; Solara, a rooftop bar; Cove, a pool and spa bar; and Café Amber for coffee and pastries.
There is also a spa, a gym with Pilates reformers, a kids club, and water sports. The resort has more than 20,000 square feet of event space, including a ballroom IHG calls the only one of its kind in Grenada, which makes it a contender for weddings and group trips.
“Grenada is one of the Caribbean’s most captivating and naturally beautiful destinations,” said George Vlachopoulos, the area general manager who also oversees Six Senses La Sagesse, in IHG’s announcement.
The Opening Offer
IHG is offering 40% off the best available rate for opening stays, according to its booking page. Luxury Travel Magazine reports the deal includes daily breakfast, a welcome drink, and a room upgrade when available. Stays must end by January 2027, and bookings are prepaid and non-refundable.
For men planning a winter trip, couples’ getaway, or milestone birthday, Grenada offers a quieter alternative to busier Caribbean islands. Caribbean Journal reports that new flights from American, JetBlue, and British Airways have made the island easier to reach.
Rates for after the opening offer have not been announced.
For now, the resort is taking reservations ahead of its December debut. If the dining and the Six Senses access deliver, it could make Grenada one of the Caribbean’s smartest winter bookings.
