Hulu has released the first look and trailer for The Land, a new scripted NFL drama from Dan Fogelman, the creator of This Is Us and Paradise. The show premieres on February 15, 2027, just hours after the conclusion of Super Bowl LXI, launching with two episodes before moving to a weekly release schedule.

The timing is intentional. The Land is designed to capture the audience that just spent four hours watching professional football and immediately hand them more of it, this time with front-office power struggles, family dysfunction, and a coaching situation that hits closer to home than most.

The series centers on two interconnected families navigating a pivotal moment for the Cleveland Browns. Head coach Danny Roarke, played by Christopher Meloni, is running out of chances to turn the franchise around, and his last shot comes in the form of a newly drafted Ohio State quarterback who also happens to be his son. Meanwhile, team owner Hal Durkin, played by William H. Macy, is facing his own succession question: which of his two daughters is equipped to take over the franchise.

The result, as Hulu puts it, is a show where “high-stakes drama plays out not only on the field but also in the front offices of this NFL franchise, as a loyal fanbase wants a winning season now.”

The ensemble built around that premise is stacked. Mandy Moore and Chloe Bennet play Durkin’s daughters competing for control of the team. Chace Crawford plays the general manager. Omar Epps, Sam Corlett, Tanner Zagarino, and Bridget Moynahan round out a cast that gives the show range across the locker room, the boardroom, and everywhere in between.

The Land is created, written, and executive produced by Fogelman alongside Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls, and Justin Adler, with David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed executive producing for Skydance Sports.
