The Creed universe is officially expanding, and Michael B. Jordan is bringing some heavy hitters along for the ride. Amazon has announced the primary cast for Delphi, the highly anticipated spinoff series produced by Jordan’s Outlier Society.
The announcement was punctuated by a heartfelt Instagram post from Jordan, who shared a photo with three of his new leads: Andre Royo, Wood Harris, and Andre Holland.
For Jordan, the casting is a full-circle moment. “These are men I have looked up to, learned from, and been inspired by for a long time,” Jordan wrote, noting that he shared sets with Royo and Harris when he was “just a kid trying to figure out who I was as an actor”.
While plot details are being kept relatively close to the vest, Delphi is described as a prestige drama that dives deep into the world of international boxing and the underground “Delphi” training system. The series aims to explore the legacy and the mental toll of the sport, moving beyond the ring to look at the power players and mentors who shape champions.
The series features a mix of new faces and familiar legends from the Creed franchise, anchored by Holland as the central lead. Holland plays a brilliant but haunted strategist operating within the Delphi organization. He is joined by Harris, who returns to the franchise as Tony “Little Duke” Burton, serving as the essential connective tissue between the original films and this television expansion.
Royo steps into the role of a seasoned corner man with deep ties to the gym’s history. Rounding out the primary cast is Demián Bichir, who portrays a powerful and enigmatic figure whose influence over the boxing world serves as the primary catalyst for the season’s central conflict.
The cast also features Benji Santiago Juan Castano, Sofia Black-D’Elia, Victoria Vourkoutiotis, Dasan Frazier, Graham Patrick Martin, Brittany Adebumola, Rene Moran, Okieriete Onaodowan, and Breanna Yde.
