Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter Jr. has officially signed with Lil Wayne’s sports agency, Young Money APAA Sports, for his professional NFL representation.
This news makes Hunter one of the most sought-after athletes entering the 2025 NFL Draft.
Hunter recently finished his collegiate career with the Colorado Buffaloes, playing in the Alamo Bowl, where Colorado lost to BYU 36–14. Despite the loss, the two-way superstar is widely projected as a top-five pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Young Money APAA Sports represents top-tier athletes across the NFL, NBA, and other sports including Duke Blue Devils’s quarterback Darian Mensah, Colorado’s defensive end Jehiem Oatis, and Cleveland Cavaliers’ small forward Isaac Okoro. According to sources, Young Money APAA signed Hunter in a competitive race against powerhouse agencies such as WME, CAA, Klutch Sports, and Athletes First.
Hunter hinted at his alignment with Young Money during his Heisman acceptance speech, where he gave a shoutout to Lil Wayne. Young Money co-founder and CEO Adie von Gontard further fueled speculation with social media posts of Hunter and the Heisman Trophy.
While Young Money will handle Hunter’s on-field negotiations, he will continue to work with SMAC Entertainment for off-field opportunities. SMAC, which also represents Colorado coach Deion Sanders and his son Shedeur Sanders, has been instrumental in Hunter’s NIL journey, securing lucrative deals with brands like Adidas.
Hunter’s NIL endeavors, however, go beyond personal gain. We recently reported that he has been assisting with NIL deals for 10–15 of his Colorado teammates.
