Story or experience that defined his journey as a Black man: When I understood that I’m free to do what I want in life and to celebrate and encourage freedom from the mental and systemic prisons that may attempt to detain me.

Dear Black Man… Understand that people will see you before they hear you! Not only do I value you. I respect you. I know your potential. I know you are strong, smart, feared, and forgiving. You are more than your outward appearance, you embody class, distinction, achievement, perspective, strength, and dignity. You have a voice, use it, strong, Black man, USE IT!
How can Black men win in America? Black men are the target, and we hold the keys to the kingdom. We must understand that this is our moment and for us to win, we must take advantage of said moment. We can win by understanding that we are not here to play, to dream, to drift.

What makes you proud to be a Black man? I know that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I know who I am. Every lesson and experience of adversity that has shaped me as an adolescent continues to cement the character I have as a man, a Black man!
