Onyx Collective’s legal drama, Reasonable Doubt, returns for its second season on August 22, premiering the first two episodes, with weekly episodes to follow thereafter.

This season, Jax Stewart (Emayatzy Corinealdi) is attempting to get her life back on track. That is until one of her closest friends reveals that she has killed her husband. Her friend is claiming self-defense, but an uncompromising prosecutor thinks otherwise. Needing all the help she can get, Jax brings in an ambitious defense attorney to lead the case, but things get tense very quickly. Can Jax defend her friend, save her marriage and protect her energy while being catapulted into the biggest case of her career? Or will she lose it all?” detailed in the synopsis.
Amidst these challenges, Morris Chestnut joins the cast as Corey Cash, a charismatic and media-savvy lawyer known for representing the underdog. His character introduction brings a new dynamic to the series, as Jax soon discovers Corey may not be all he says he is but gets away with a lot because of his looks, putting her own position at risk.

The series also stars McKinley Freeman as Lewis Stewart, Jax’s husband, along with Tim Jo, Angela Grovey, Thaddeus J. Mixson and Aderinsola Olabode.
Reasonable Doubt is more than a legal drama, it gives an insight into the ethical dilemmas facing those in the high-stakes world of criminal defense. As Jax juggles work-life balance, audiences will have a front-row seat to intense courtroom battles and dramatic twists.
