One of the most impactful singers in the history of R&B music is still going strong.

After 35 years of touring, Keith Sweat announced his Make It Last Forever Tour will be his final tour and will start February 1, according to wbls.com.
The tour will feature the legendary Keith Sweat, but those who will sing on the tour will be Tyrese, SWV, and Pretty Ricky. Other dates and even more talent will be announced shortly.
The headliners will kick things off at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He will make other stops in Chicago, Milwaukee, Atlanta and Philly. The first leg will wrap up on March 2 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Sweat has been a force in the music industry since the 1980s. In November of 1987, he released his debut album Make It Last Forever. The album sold over three million copies, which doled out hits I Want Her, Something Just Ain’t Right, Make it Last Forever and Don’t Stop Your Love.
This tour was announced after Sweat had been on the grind. The 62-year-old has been on the road, performing in the lineup for The Legacy Tour as an opening act. He was also in the Funk Fest Tour in Atlanta.
Last summer, he even performed in Las Vegas, a city where he last performed with the legendary Boston group and pillars in R&B, New Edition, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
“To be able to tour with the legendary New Edition along with Guy and the other [artists] on that tour, and let people know where all this real music came from, that felt good,” said Sweat. “It felt like we got to rejuvenate people and let them reminisce and relive those moments. And I only had a certain amount of time [to perform] on that tour, but these shows, I get to do everything, all the songs I want to do.”
Just last year, he teamed up with Raheem DeVaugn for his song Can’t Nobody. The song did so well, it landed Sweat his 15th top 10 hit on the Billboard’s Adult R&B chart.
