Russell Westbrook Takes his Fashion Talents to Travelwear with his Tumi Collection

Russell Westbrook recently released his first book titled Style Drivers, where readers were able to get a more in-depth idea of his fashion style in clothing. But his likeness for fashionable clothes was not enough for the Oklahoma City Thunder Point Guard, he wants everything he touches to be fashion forward! Even his travelwear. If you are not familiar with what travelwear is, I just created it. My definition of travelwear is the luggage that you use when you are traveling. Since the spike in travel among the urban community has greatly increased, suitcases and duffle bags are becoming more and more fashionable to attract these new travelers.

Released yesterday, Mr. Westbrook designed a special capsule of travel-ready bags with TUMI unique to his taste and bold style.

The TUMI x Russell Westbrook collection consists of 6 bags and 1 key fob that blend together the global travel brand’s known functionality and technical innovation with Russell’s fashionable flair. Russell worked tirelessly with TUMI to ensure each product within his collection is as high-performing during wear as he is on the court. In addition to bearing a striking red camo print with black accents, each design features Russell’s personal mantra, “Why Not?”, to provide a reminder of his empowerment and perseverance.

“I couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with TUMI, a brand that I have been a loyal user of for years”, says Russell Westbrook. “I’ve always enjoyed the process of transforming an idea through the design process, and the creative team at TUMI really executed my vision. I’m proud to share the functional and stylistic collection we’ve created together with people all over the world.”

The TUMI x Westbrook collection ranging in price from $55-$795, and are sold at TUMI retail stores worldwide, TUMI.com, as well as the streetwear mecca, KITH.
