PS4 brings Real Street Ball to your fingertips.

In the shadow of earlier basketball video games, a game available only on Playstation has carved a corner all its own. It’s been close to 10 years since a legitimate street ball game has been available for consoles. Korean game developer ‘Joycity‘ put out ‘3on3 Freestyle‘ a few months ago, exclusively for the PS4. This has created an even greater reason to choose the PS4 over the Xbox One, as more and more games seem to be exclusive for the console. Red Dead Redemption 2 has even been announced for 2018 and I am sure it will have hilarious RDR2 cheats, just like the last game and will push people towards this console. In that time the game has amassed a quite the following. Up until now, the game featured mainly fictional characters. However, they just made a big update.

The game developer announced that streetball legend, Grayson “The Professor” Boucher, would be added to the 15 character roster “3on3 Freestyle.” With unique skills and abilities, Boucher is the key addition in this most recent update.

Key updates to the game: • FS Town – New Town menu features job system and quests for characters to challenge • Improved matching information screen – Now features detailed team information • Substitution System Improvements • New outfits & accessories (backpacks)

Boucher, who is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated streetball players of his generation, began playing at Chemeketa Community College and entered the nationwide contest to join the AND1 Mixtape Tour when it came to Portland, Oregon in 2003. Far from his AND1 Mixtape days, Boucher voices the character himself and has his most iconic moves.

Along with the unique gameplay, the game comes with a highly praised soundtrack. A set of characters unlike any other. Not to mention, the game is available for FREE and comes to a stark contrast to another game in the same vein.

Earlier this month “NBA Playgrounds” was released on the PS4, Xbox one, and the Nintendo Switch for 20 dollars. If you have the option, try them both and let us know what you think.
