Odell Beckham Jr. said he was fined $18,000 for wearing a tribute for the late great Craig Sager.
One week ago today, Craig Sager, a polarizing NBA journalist who was known for his straight-forward questions to players and his outlandish suits on television broadcasts, died of leukemia. Thus, to pay homage, many athletes wore colorful clothing items to commemorate the longtime TNT employee. Odell Beckham Jr., of course, was no different, as he donned some colorful cleats as his team played the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
His team won the game 17-6, but Beckham lost some money, big time. According to Beckham in a tweet, he was fined big money by the NFL for the infraction.
This is what he tweeted, today:
18k without a single warning , but the world would never kno, they act like it’s no big deal. No respect for the message IMO https://t.co/Ym30L1FnCP — Odell Beckham Jr (@OBJ_3) December 22, 2016
