LeBron Eyes Jordan

LeBron said he is chasing ghosts.

In a Sports Illustrated article by Lee Jenkins, LeBron sets his eyes on Michael Jordan, essentially saying he would like to be compared to Jordan, while hinting how remarkable it would be to eclipse the billionaire mogul.

In his annual Nike Skills Academy camp, LeBron acknowledged his motivation, which is none other than Air Jordan himself.

It is a really well written piece as the article starts off speaking of James using his otherworldly basketball intellect, breaking down film of the NBA Finals between his Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. This part of camp is called film study, where he strategically speaks of many facets of the championship.

Then, the piece emphasizes LeBron’s human elements, amid the finals, the aftermath of the finals and even when Kevin Durant announces he is teaming up with the Warriors, all the while working out with camp participants.

Many folks think it’s impossible for LeBron to enter the same room as Michael Jordan—but some have a different opinion—especially after he led both the Warriors and Cavs in all major statistical categories, steamrolling his team back from a 3-1 deficit on the game’s biggest stage. Let’s not forget how LeBron led a team to its first title ever, ridding Cleveland’s 52-year championship drought.

Still, no matter what your opinion is of James, folks have to respect the fact he is passionate about his future, even if he has already cemented himself as a top 10 player of all time.

It’s all about setting goals and speaking things into existence, folks.
