We have the pleasure of introducing the talent behind Vinceo, Vinco Bethel. CEO and Head Creative Director, Vinco “Peter “Bethel, is a major player in the world of fashion and design starting primarily with luxurious shoes, bags, and accessories for men, aimed to provide clients with goods of exquisite quality and artistic style. The Bahamian born visionary grew up dreaming of a life in fashion.

Vinceo 2016 Fall/Winter collection “Iridescence” was inspired by the radiant gold, orange, blue and red hues from the amazing sunsets and the landscape of the Bahamas. Inspired by the lively vibrant colors from earlier memories of back home, Vinco designs men’s shoes that are sophisticated, luxurious, and unique. The chic, architectural style is versatile enough for both work and play. His designs for bags and accessories are both modern and refined while still allowing men to showcase their individual style.

Handmade in Italy by some of the world’s most accomplished craftsman, Vinceo’s products consistently push the boundaries of design and innovation, while providing enduring appeal. Attention to detail and a focus on high quality product makes Vinceo a true innovator in the luxury market. With celebrity ambassadors already devoted to the brand, Vinceo’s goods have garnered a strong reputation for aesthetic excellence and, most importantly, quality luxury.

The Quintessential Gentleman caught up with Vinceo in our exclusive interview below:

QG: What inspired you to start Vinceo?

VINCO: While growing up in the island of New Providence, Bahamas, I spent afternoons with my mother and grandmother at the straw market where we would create necklaces, bracelets, straw bags to sell them to tourists.

QG: When did you realize you wanted to start a life in fashion?

VINCO: Since I was a child I was surrounded by fashion design and art. I moved to the United States at the age of 15 and began working towards the dream.

QG: Who is one of your inspirations?

VINCO: I’ve been inspired by my mother’s love of fashion. I would never have became the person I am now without her influences.

QG: What keeps you motivated?

VINCO: My personal motivations are mainly my love of designing and the fact that I love fashion and it’s inside of me.

QG: What does your craft mean to you?

What I love about my profession is when you’re truly engaged with your work, it doesn’t even feel like work anymore.

QG: How would you define your personal style?

VINCO: I try to find balance between a classic, clean look on the one hand and a modern, slightly extravagant look on the other.

QG: What is your favorite thing about your career?

Being apart of Vinceo, I can fully express my emotions and ideas as a designer.

QG: Any pregame rituals?

VINCO: Dress to impress. Whether it’s a business meeting or a fashion show, your appearance is the first thing people will judge by.

QG: What is the most important thing to you about your brand?

VINCO: It’s perfection. As someone said: Perfection is not attainable but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence.

QG: What advice would you give to someone who would like to start a business in fashion?

VINCO: In order to be successful, you have to be passionate about what you do and you have to have a drive and dream about your craft.
