Eagles plan anthem protest for Monday Night Football

One team in the City of Brotherly Love will protest the Star Spangled Banner tonight.

In an interview with WIP Radio on Friday, safety Malcolm Jenkins said he and other players will make a statement during the national anthem before the Bears’ home opener.

Jenkins said the protest isn’t anti-police or against the country and flag, but he knows their actions will bring about discussion of social injustice.

“It’s important, but you obviously walk a fine line,” Jenkins said. “Your goal is not to divide people but the goal is also not to beat around the bush. If it comes down to making someb
