“Bumblebee” Gets His Transformers Spinoff Film

Just incase you thought you would never see another car change into a fighting machine, Paramount Pictures confirms there will be a Transformers spinoff film.

Titled Bumblebee, the film is set in the year 1987 where Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, played by Hailee Steinfeld, is on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.

The movie also stars John Cena and Pamela Adlon. Directed by Travis Knight, Bumblebee hits theaters Friday, December 21, 2018.
