Adrian Peterson Will Be A Free Agent

After much discussion, the Minnesota Vikings will place Adrian Peterson in free Agency.

According to the NFL Network, the franchise will not exercise the 2017 option for Adrian Peterson, making Peterson an unrestricted free agent.

The once considered best running back in the game was, in fact, due $18 million, but now he will test free agency as of March 9.

“Adrian is an important part of the Minnesota Vikings organization,” Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said in a statement. “We will continue to have conversations with his representatives and leave our future options open while determining what is best for both parties moving forward.”

Despite an assortment of injuries, most recently a right lateral meniscus tear suffered on Sept. 22, Peterson will do his best to restore the faith football fans once had in him, as many considered him the best back in the game for several years.
