Last week, Adidas and Kanye West announced the epic expansion of their partnership. Adidas is on the brink of something colossal with this partnership. Kanye’s collaboration with adidas will prove to be very profitable and will pay off for both brands. Kanye’s impressive ability to sell products had several brands hoping to cash in on his unrivaled success. Fans began raving over the adidas Yeezy Boost line since its inception in 2015 and now unfolds the adidas + Kanye West line. The new expansion entails retail store openings and the welcoming of a performance line and accessories.

Adidas, declared “the most significant partnership ever created between a non-athlete and an athletic brand”, will bring about something we haven’t seen since Nike and its partnership with Michael Jordan.

This is most certainly a match made in holy matrimony for the company who hasn’t experience a jolt like this in a very long time. Adidas iconic history and Kanye’s impressive ability to sell products is proof that brand resonance with consumers is at its best when tied to a celebrity and who better than the culture transcending icon, Kanye West.

The joint venture will be introducing a broader range of YEEZY apparel and footwear, by creating new lines of shoes, clothes, and accessories for both street and sportswear. As part of the new partnership, Adidas are said to be opening retail stores to serve as “distinct hubs for Adidas and Kanye’s products”. Naturally, this grand venture calls for much-needed help, so Adidas is currently looking to hire some talented and creative individuals who will assumedly be working at their headquarters in Portland, Oregon.
