Hulu’s hit political thriller, Paradise, just closed out its sophomore run with a massive bang, and the numbers are officially in to prove it. The Season 2 finale, aptly titled Exodus, has broken records to become the most-watched episode of the entire season.

Debuting on March 30, the highly anticipated finale pulled in a staggering 4.3 million global views across Disney+ and Hulu within just its first three days of availability. This figure represents a 35% jump in viewership compared to the Season 2 premiere, cementing the explosive finale as the season’s undeniable high-water mark and proving that audience interest only grew as the story unfolded.

To put the show’s massive momentum into perspective, Hulu reports that viewers have streamed a whopping 13 billion minutes of the series to date.

Created by Dan Fogelman, Paradise pushed its narrative further than ever this year. The season centered on Agent Xavier Collins (played by series star and executive producer Sterling K. Brown) as he ventured out of the safety of the bunker into a devastated, post-apocalyptic landscape to search for his wife, Teri (Enuka Okuma).

The finale’s explosive mix of high-stakes reveals, emotional twists, and a literal nuclear meltdown kept fans glued to their screens. With trust eroding and massive secrets about an advanced quantum computer named “Alex” coming to light, the word-of-mouth surrounding the show’s climax undoubtedly helped drive the final surge in viewership.

The success of the season is also a testament to the show’s powerhouse ensemble cast, which includes Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, and recurring guest stars like James Marsden and Shailene Woodley.

With Exodus leaving off on a massive cliffhanger that points toward a second bunker underneath the Denver airport, it is clear that fans are deeply invested in where the story goes next.

Fortunately, the phenomenal ratings have paid off; Paradise has already been renewed for Season 3.
