Republican candidate James Fishback is facing scrutiny after a video surfaced showing him telling a Black man he “should be lynched” during a highly volatile and escalating public confrontation.

The altercation, captured on video, began when influencer Tajy TV approached Fishback to press him on allegations involving a minor. Tajy TV questioned Fishback about a girl named Kenya Ford, alleging that Fishback slept with her when she was 17 and he was 27. When asked why Ford would make these claims in court, Fishback defended himself by noting the legal outcome of the situation.

“What did the judge say at the end of that court?” Fishback challenged, stating that the judge dismissed the case after “seven hours of testimony.” Tayj pushed back, claiming that the court proceedings in question were actually regarding cyberstalking, rather than the alleged inappropriate relationship.

The exchange quickly deteriorated as the man began asking sexually explicit questions about the alleged encounter. Fishback immediately pushed back against the language being used.

“Listen, I don’t want you ever speaking about women in our state like that ever again,” Fishback stated.

The man retorted by telling Fishback to “promise me, never smash a minor again.”

In response, Fishback defended his innocence by asking, “Why haven’t I been arrested?” When the man replied that he didn’t know, Fishback shockingly escalated the confrontation, telling the man, “You should be lynched.”

This latest altercation appears to be part of a broader pattern of inflammatory behavior from Fishback, which critics argue is a deliberate attempt to court a far-right, Nick Fuentes-adjacent political base.

Beyond this confrontation, Fishback has repeatedly used George Floyd as a punchline in memes, mockingly referring to Black GOP front-runner Byron Donalds as “Byrone,” and making references to Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini.
