Tyler Lepley and Da'Vinchi - Tyler Perry's Where There's Smoke

Tyler Perry is keeping his foot on the gas, or in this case, the fire truck, with his latest announcement. Production is officially underway in Atlanta for Where There’s Smoke, a brand-new 16-episode series headed to Netflix. While Perry is known for his high-stakes dramas, this latest venture takes us inside the intense, adrenaline-fueled world of a firehouse.

Headlining the ensemble cast are Tyler Lepley (P-Valley, Harlem), who plays Owen, and Da’Vinchi (BMF, All American), who plays Noah.

Joining them is a lineup including Mike Merrill, Eltony Williams, Brock O’Hurn, Joe Hunter, Karen Obilom, Brittany S. Hall, Mariah Goodie, Jordan Rodriguez, and Judi Moon.

Where There's Smoke

The series isn’t just about sirens and heavy lifting. While the crew will be battling emergencies across the city, the real “smoke” often comes from their lives behind the uniform. Where There’s Smoke aims to explore the complex personal fires that await these heroes once the shift ends, dealing with family, romance, and the mental toll of the job.

For Tyler Perry, this marks another significant move in his massive creative partnership with Netflix. As production continues, we’ll be keeping a close eye on this one. If the title is any indication, this series is definitely going to bring the heat.
