With anticipation mounting for the Michael biopic, the cinematic telling of Michael Jackson’s life, Lionsgate has given audiences another look at the film in a new teaser.
The teaser, unveiled in advance of the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, gives us more glimpses of star Jaafar Jackson, Michael’s real-life nephew portraying the King of Pop. We also get more looks at Colman Domingo and Nia Long, who step into the formidable roles of Joe and Katherine Jackson, Michael’s father and mother.
The official synopsis promises “an intimate look at the life and enduring legacy of one of the most influential, trailblazing artists the world has ever known.”
Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, is scheduled to hit theaters on April 24, 2026, and has already set records with its teaser viewership, surpassing 116 million views in 24 hours, making it one of the most-watched music biopic trailers in history.
Alongside Domingo and Long, the ensemble cast features Laura Harrier, Miles Teller, Kat Graham, and Juliano Krue Valdi as young Michael.
