Sterling K. Brown Earns SAG Award Nomination for ‘Paradise’ as Hulu Prepares for Season 2

Sterling K. Brown continues to rack up awards season momentum, securing a nomination at the 32nd Actor Awards (formerly the SAG Awards) for Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for his work in Hulu’s acclaimed drama Paradise.

Paradise, created by Dan Fogelman, launched on Hulu in January 2025 and quickly became a standout with its intriguing blend of political thriller, post-apocalyptic mystery, and emotional depth. Set in a massive underground bunker years after a global catastrophe, the series follows Collins as he navigates suspicion, leadership, and complex loyalties while investigating the truth behind the President’s death.

Brown’s Actor Awards nomination places him among an esteemed group of performers recognized this year, including Billy Crudup for The Morning Show, Walton Goggins for The White Lotus, Gary Oldman for Slow Horses, and Noah Wyle for The Pitt.

But this isn’t the only honors Brown has collected for Paradise. Earlier in the season, he received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series — Drama.

In addition, Paradise earned several nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Brown and Outstanding Drama Series, along with supporting nods for co-stars James Marsden and Julianne Nicholson.

The series has also been recognized at the Critics Choice Association Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, where Brown received accolades for his role.

The buzz around Paradise comes as the series prepares to return for Season 2, with its premiere set for February 23, on Hulu.

The upcoming season finds Collins venturing beyond the bunker in search of his wife while deeper mysteries and new dangers await.
