Marvel is starting 2026 with a bang. After months of online chatter about the lack of promotion, Disney+ has finally dropped a full-length trailer for Wonder Man, and this one finally shows us what we’ve been waiting for: Simon Williams’ powers in action.

Set to premiere on January 27, Wonder Man stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Williams, a struggling Hollywood actor and former stuntman whose life takes a wild turn when he develops real superpowers. The new trailer doesn’t just tease his origin; it fully unleashes his abilities on-screen, giving fans the most detailed glimpse yet into what makes him worthy of the “Wonder Man” name.

Throughout the trailer, we see hints of Simon’s growing power. His hands tremble as he struggles to control whatever is happening inside him, building up to a final explosive moment where frustration takes over and he slams a table, completely shattering the marble.

In the comics, Williams is powered by ionic energy, which grants him superhuman strength, speed, and durability, and this trailer finally teases how that might translate on screen.

The series also reunites Abdul-Mateen II with Ben Kingsley, who returns as fan-favorite Trevor Slattery. In the trailer, Slattery steps in as a sort of eccentric mentor, guiding Simon through the absurdities of fame, identity, and what it really means to be a “hero” in a town full of actors playing one.

Directed by Shang-Chi’s Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Andrew Guest (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Community), Wonder Man leans into Hollywood satire while still delivering plenty of action. It’s being billed as an eight-episode action-comedy that’s just as much about the industry as it is about superheroes.

The show also stars Arian Moayed, Zlatko Burić, X Mayo, Olivia Thirlby, Byron Bowers, and Demetrius Grosse, with Marvel positioning it as a standout entry for Phase Six of the MCU.
