The 2026 Legends All-Star Weekend isn’t just bringing basketball royalty to Los Angeles; it’s bringing purpose, vision, and legacy. This year’s celebration, hosted by the National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA), marks a new chapter for how we honor the men and women who helped build the game.

These aren’t just former hoopers with highlight reels. They’re leaders, mentors, cultural architects, and this weekend is proof.

Under the leadership of President & CEO Antonio Davis and Chairman Charles “Choo” Smith, the NBRPA is evolving the narrative around retired NBA and WNBA players. The goal? Elevate their platform beyond nostalgia, and spotlight the work they’re doing to shape community, drive economic opportunity, and give back in transformative ways.

“This weekend represents everything we’ve been building toward,” said Davis. “Legends All-Star Weekend is more than an event—it’s a statement.”

From VIP moments to community activation, Legends All-Star Weekend is stacked with experiences that bridge culture, philanthropy, and inspiration.

Thursday, February 12: The Legends Tip Off: Held at the Rhimes Performing Arts Center, this invite-only kickoff will welcome NBA and WNBA legends, tastemakers from film and music, and business leaders. The night includes a luxury culinary experience, live music, a cigar lounge, and a special award presentation launching the NBRPA’s reimagined mission.

Friday, February 13: The Legends Bash: A city-block takeover. This ultra-VIP experience will feature live national entertainment, curated culinary pop-ups, a gaming lounge, cigar lounge, and cultural activations designed to highlight Black excellence and economic power.

Saturday, February 14: The Legends Day of Giving: This full-day community initiative, powered by the NBRPA, The Harlem Globetrotters, The Finn Group, Bloom Ranch, and LA’s District 10, goes deep on health equity, youth mentorship, and city transformation.

“We’re in a powerful moment full of purpose, momentum, and possibility,” said Smith. “This is how you lead through love and legacy.”

Founded in 1992, the NBRPA has always supported players transitioning out of professional basketball. But this weekend shows how the organization is thinking bigger. From entrepreneurship to education, the NBRPA’s 1,800+ members are stepping into their roles as cultural stewards and community-first leaders.

“Our members helped build the game of basketball,” Davis said. “Now they’re building futures.”
