It’s a family reunion in the newly released trailer for Euphoria Season 3. Kadeem Hardison and Zendaya are back on screen together, this time in a different world than the one where many fans first saw their chemistry.

Long before Euphoria became a cultural lightning rod, Zendaya was anchoring Disney Channel as K.C. Cooper in K.C. Undercover, which premiered in 2015. Hardison played her father on the series. Nearly a decade later, that bond resurfaces in HBO’s darker, more complex universe.

Hardison’s addition to Euphoria Season 3 marks a full-circle moment for both actors. When the casting news first broke last February, he didn’t hide his excitement.

“I was over the moon when I heard the news that I booked it,” Hardison said in a statement. “It’s amazing to be back on set with Z. She and I formed a tight friendship while shooting K.C. Undercover and we’ve stayed close, so this is truly special.”

The trailer doesn’t reveal much about Hardison’s character, Euphoria rarely does, but his presence signals something intentional. With Season 3 confirmed as the series’ final chapter, the show appears intent on delivering emotional weight and meaningful closure as Rue and the rest of the characters confront what comes next. Four years in the making, the new season will pick up five years after audiences last saw them, signaling a reflective shift as the story moves toward its end.

For Zendaya, the reunion is also a quiet reminder of how far her career has traveled. From a teen spy comedy on Disney Channel to leading one of HBO’s most intense dramas, her trajectory has been defined by range and risk.

Bringing Hardison into this final season feels less like fan service and more like a nod to creative lineage, where she started, who helped shape her early work, and how those relationships can evolve.

Season 3 of Euphoria is set to premiere Sunday, April 12, airing from 9–10 p.m. ET on HBO, with new episodes dropping weekly on Sunday nights.
