Bruno Mars has officially signaled the end of one of pop music’s longest solo album droughts: his new record is finished. The Grammy-winning singer and songwriter took to social media on January 5 to share a deceptively simple message that thrilled fans around the world: “My album is done.”

While the post offered no official title, release date, or track listing, the update marks a major milestone for the star. It will be Mars’ first solo studio album since 2016’s 24K Magic, the celebrated record that produced hits like That’s What I Like and 24K Magic and helped secure multiple Grammy Awards.

Mars hasn’t been absent from music in the years since, but his focus shifted in different creative directions.

In 2021, he teamed up with Anderson .Paak to form Silk Sonic, releasing the retro-soul album An Evening With Silk Sonic, which earned widespread acclaim and multiple Grammys. In the years that followed, he also appeared on major collaborations, including Lady Gaga’s Die With a Smile, Rosé’s hit APT., and the track Fat, Juicy & Wet with Sexyy Red.

Nevertheless, fans have eagerly awaited a solo album from Mars, one that continues the stylistic excellence he demonstrated on 24K Magic and his earlier hits.

Industry chatter suggests the new album could arrive as soon as spring 2026, with hints that a lead single might drop early in the year. But until Mars or his team shares official word on specifics, fans remain glued to that brief but seismic announcement.
