During a soul-stirring night of music, legacy, and Black excellence, Bringing the Holidays Back to You took an unforgettable turn at Atlanta’s City Winery.
As R&B icon Chante Moore closed out her set, none other than media mogul Tyler Perry stepped on stage to give the multi-platinum singer her flowers in front of a sold-out crowd.
“This woman’s been in this business all these years, and she’s still killing it,” Perry said. “Every time you want to pray for her, buy her a record. Every time you want to send a prayer for her family and friends, show up and support her. So what y’all doing right now is speaking into the lives of legends.”
But Perry didn’t stop there. He also revealed that Moore will be starring in his upcoming holiday film The Gospel of Christmas, a new project from Tyler Perry Studios headed to Netflix.
“We just finished a movie that’s coming out next year, it’s called The Gospel of Christmas, and she’s in it,” he announced proudly, standing beside Moore.
The film follows a young pastor who relocates his wife and sons from Georgia to New York in an effort to save a struggling church. With the help of a few guardian angels, it becomes a story about purpose, redemption, and faith.
“The world is changing, there’s a lot going on, and we are all we got. So lean into us, support us, while the world is falling apart around us. We know how to hold each other together.”
