Chicago showed up and showed out as Jerry Lorenzo and Derrick Rose unveiled the highly anticipated Fear of God Athletics II Basketball Derrick Rose PE at a private preview event.

Last week, over 150 of Chicago’s leading tastemakers, creatives, and athletes gathered at SVRN for an early look at the capsule. The crowd represented a who’s who of the city’s creative ecosystem, including Don C, Dalen Terry, Jerry Azumah, Vic Lloyd, Ron Louis, Dave Jeff, Che Kweku, Corey Gilkey, Elizabeth De-la-Piedra, and Miles Reynolds.

The evening offered more than a sneaker drop; it felt like a celebration of legacy, craftsmanship, and Chicago pride. Guests enjoyed music, bites, and cocktails while walking through a museum-style installation that traced Rose’s historic partnership with adidas.

The exhibit showcased every step of his journey: full signature models, early prototypes, rare keepsakes, and the debut of the Fear of God Athletics II Basketball Derrick Rose PE.

The exhibition honored Rose’s impact on the game, Fear of God’s refined aesthetics, and the city that helped shape both the player and the designer.

The footwear capsule officially released on December 5 in two silhouettes: The Lo and the Hi, with the Hi serving as a Chicago exclusive. Built from premium materials and engineered for performance, the collection bridges Rose’s legacy with the refined minimalism Fear of God Athletics has established.

It’s elevated, intentional, and decidedly cultural, reflecting Rose’s influence far beyond the court.

The Fear of God Athletics II Basketball Derrick Rose PE is available now via CONFIRMED, adidas.com, FearofGod.com, and select adidas retailers.
