Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming heist thriller, Crime 101, brings together an A-list lineup featuring Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Corey Hawkins, Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte.
The film, directed and written by Bart Layton, is based on Don Winslow’s acclaimed novella.
Set in Los Angeles, Crime 101 follows the elusive and methodical thief played by Hemsworth, whose string of sophisticated heists along the 101 freeway has left police baffled for years. But just when he’s planning the score of a lifetime, a heist big enough to finally walk away, the unexpected happens.
Enter Berry as a frustrated, disillusioned insurance broker at her own personal crossroads. When their paths collide, the two forge an uneasy partnership, tied together by risk, desperation, and a shared desire for a fresh start.
Meanwhile, Ruffalo plays the relentless detective determined to crack the case before the final heist unfolds. As he closes in, the lines between justice, survival, and obsession blur. Hawkins’ role is still being kept under wraps, but know that he steps up to the plate.
