Tyler Perry & Cast Attend Atlanta Premiere for ‘Finding Joy’

Tyler Perry - Finding Joy

Tyler Perry and the cast of his newest film, Finding Joy, attended the Atlanta premiere held at Regal Atlantic Station.

The event brought out excited fans, local filmgoers, and members of Atlanta’s creative community to celebrate Perry’s return to holiday filmmaking.

Finding Joy, which premieres globally on Prime Video on November 5, marks Perry’s first holiday feature in twelve years since A Madea Christmas.

At the premiere, Perry greeted the audience alongside leading stars Shannon Thornton, Brittany S. Hall, and Inayah.

In her first leading role in a holiday romance, Thornton plays Joy, a New York fashion designer whose creativity is often dimmed by the people around her. We meet her at a crossroads, career stalled, heart bruised, and hope wearing thin. Encouraged by her loyal friends Ashley (Brittany S. Hall) and Littia (Inayah), Joy takes a chance on a holiday getaway to Colorado in pursuit of love—or at least, something that feels like possibility.

But things don’t go as planned. A snowstorm, a revelation, and a moment of heartbreak reroute her journey entirely. Enter Ridge (Tosin Morohunfola), a gentle but grounded presence who challenges Joy to see herself—and her life—differently.

The film is not just about romance; it’s about choosing yourself, rediscovering joy, and finding love in unexpected places.

Tyler Perry’s Finding Joy streams globally on Prime Video on November 5.
