Spence Moore has been tapped to play the young James “Ghost” St. Patrick in Power: Origins, the highly anticipated prequel series coming to Starz. Moore will star opposite Charlie Mann, who steps into the role of a young Tommy Egan.
For longtime fans of the franchise, that means we’ll finally get to see how the iconic duo, portrayed by Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora in the original series, first began carving out their empire on the streets of New York.
Audiences may recognize Moore from Creed III, Brilliant Minds, and as Chris Jackson in All American. Paired with Mann’s take on Tommy, the series is setting the stage for a gritty, ambitious look at two young men determined not just to survive, but to become legends.
According to Starz, Power: Origins will focus on Ghost and Tommy as “ambitious young entrepreneurs on the rise,” spotlighting their audacity, hustle, and the decisions that would shape them into the characters fans came to know (and fear).
The series also deepens the Power tapestry by bringing back MeKai Curtis as young Kanan Stark, reprising his role from Power Book III: Raising Kanan. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who played Kanan in the original Power, remains the creative engine behind the franchise.
Power: Origins is the fourth spinoff and second prequel in the blockbuster franchise, following Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and Power Book IV: Force. A fifth series, Power: Legacy, is also in development, proving that the world Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent built in 2014 still has plenty of stories to tell.
