Kid Cudi just added “husband” to his already stacked resume. The multi-hyphenate rapper, actor, and creative force quietly married menswear designer Lola Abecassis Sartore on June 28 in the South of France.
The couple, who first met back in 2018 at Virgil Abloh’s debut Louis Vuitton show, have kept their relationship fairly private over the years. But this milestone moment got the full spotlight treatment, including a Vogue Weddings.
“Man, I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life. A truly special day with amazing friends and loving family,” Cudi shared in a caption alongside wedding photos. “I love this woman so so much, and I know she loves me in the same way. My best friend. My ride or die.”
Cudi and Sartore, who is originally from France, said “I do” in a chic ceremony surrounded by close friends and family. BADBADNOTGOOD performed during cocktail hour, and Cudi even serenaded guests with unreleased tracks. The couple also had what he described as a “ginormous cake.”
And it wouldn’t be a Cudi moment without a nod to fashion. The bride wore a custom gown designed by Alain, whom Cudi called “a f***in BEAUTIFUL AND STUNNING” talent. “I’m so happy we have you in our lives,” he wrote, thanking everyone from his best man and groomsmen to the bridesmaids and planners.
Cudi also announced his upcoming album, Free, dropping next month. The new project will feature themes of liberation and inspiration drawn from The Truman Show.
“To my baby Lola, we are in for a wonderfully fantastic journey together. Next we need this baby 🤣🤣🤣 not joking… Here’s to a bright future together Mrs. Mescudi,” Cudi ended his Instagram post.
