It wasn’t Love Island, but connections were made.
Last week, The Quintessential Gentleman teamed up with certified matchmaker Rochelle Renee to bring The Single Mingle to NYC for the first time, and New York showed up and swiped right in real life.

Hosted at the sexy Saint Resto Lounge, The Single Mingle Night: Single in the City Edition wasn’t just an event; it was a curated experience for singles ready to unplug from the apps and connect in real life.
Guests arrived dressed to impress and were greeted with complimentary champagne and signature D’USSÉ cocktails that set the tone for an evening of intentional connection.
From the jump, the energy was high. Stylish professionals, creatives, and influencers mingled with purpose, filling the room with laughs and the kind of conversations that don’t start with “so, what do you do?”

One of the main attractions? Mingle in Minutes, Rochelle’s take on speed dating that throws out the awkward small talk and replaces it with engaging topics to get the conversation going. Over three energetic rounds, singles had the chance to spark real chemistry, and by the end of it, a few were already plotting second dates.
And it didn’t stop there. As the night progressed, passed appetizers and more curated cocktails fueled the fun. The vibe was equal parts elevated and effortless, with no pressure, just good people, good drinks, and good conversation. You could turn your head and see a stylist talking to a finance professional, a mental health advocate in a deep conversation with an entrepreneur.

By the end of the night, three official matches had been made, and we’re told dates were already set for the weekend. That’s what we call ROI.
For those tired of left-swipes, ghosting, and dating fatigue, The Single Mingle was a reminder that love, or at least a really great first date, is still possible when you step away from the screen.
Rochelle Renee’s mission to bring dating back offline has been a hit in D.C., and now with The Quintessential Gentleman as a proud partner, New York is officially on the love map. With over 60,000 singles in her community, 40+ sold-out events, five engagements, and a wedding under her belt, this is more than a dating event—it’s a movement.
Stay tuned—this was just the first of many. Your next match might just be sipping a D’USSÉ cocktail at the next Single Mingle.
