Last night, Marvel’s Ironheart made its debut at the El Capitan Theatre. Cast, crew, and some very familiar Marvel faces pulled up in style to celebrate the Disney+ series, which officially kicks off tonight at 6 pm PST/9 pm ET with a three-episode drop.

Leading lady Dominique Thorne (Riri Williams/Ironheart) walked the red carpet alongside co-star Anthony Ramos, who plays the enigmatic Parker Robbins, aka The Hood. The two were joined by Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Manny Montana, and more from the show’s star-studded cast.

Executive producers Chinaka Hodge, Zoie Nagelhout, and Brad Winderbaum were all in attendance.

Ryan Coogler, who also serves as an executive producer on the series, hit the red carpet and had plenty to say about Ironheart’s significance—not just as a follow-up to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but as a critical piece of Marvel’s larger puzzle, especially with Avengers: Doomsday on the horizon.

“We didn’t know it was going to be Dr. Doom in the Avengers when we first started,” Coogler told Deadline, referencing Marvel’s massive shift away from Kang the Conqueror. “But [Doom] is a guy in publishing who’s most famous for fusing technology and magic.”

Coogler pointed out the timely nature of the show’s themes. “It’s so crazy to be putting this [show] out now, at the time where AI is on the front of everybody’s mind, technological ethics are on the front of everybody’s mind,” he said. “Ironheart is a great sample of things that are to come in probably what’s going to be the biggest movie in Marvel history.”

In Ironheart, we meet Riri Williams post-Wakanda Forever, back in her hometown of Chicago and juggling brilliance, grief, and the responsibility of being a genius-level teen with access to Stark-level armor.

Her path crosses with Parker Robbins (Ramos), a small-time criminal who stumbles upon magic-infused gear, igniting a tense battle between tech and sorcery.

The series, which originally wrapped filming in 2022 before undergoing reshoots in early 2024, is finally ready for fans, and the timing might be more strategic than it seems. With Avengers: Doomsday set to drop in December 2026 and rumors swirling about Doom’s heavy presence, fans are already combing Ironheart for clues.

Though Marvel has kept plot details under wraps, the show is rumored to tease or even debut magical elements that could tie directly into Doom’s MCU entrance. Between Riri’s tech and Parker’s spellcraft, the foundation is clearly there.

For now, Marvel fans can enjoy a new kind of origin story — one that blends brains, heart, and maybe even a little chaos magic. And if Coogler’s hinting is any indication, Ironheart might not just be the start of Riri’s journey… it could also be the spark that leads straight to Doomsday.

Make sure to tune in to Ironheart tonight for the first three episodes, with the next three dropping next week on Disney+.
