BET is bringing back that classic 106 & Park energy, but this time, it’s laced with cleats, kicks, and a whole lot of culture. The network just announced 106 & Sports, a fresh spin on its iconic countdown series that puts athletes and sports stories in the spotlight through the lens of Black culture and hip-hop.
Officially revealed after the 25th anniversary tribute to 106 & Park at the 2025 BET Awards, the new show will be hosted by former NFL MVP Cam Newton and sports media personality Ashley Nicole Moss.
According to BET, 106 & Sports will blend exclusive interviews, highlight reels, viral challenges, curated playlists, and behind-the-scenes moments with the athletes who are just as influential off the court (or field) as they are on it.
The show will also include interactive segments, bringing fans into the mix via live studio tapings and online participation, a nod to the fan-first formula that made 106 & Park must-see TV. And of course, fashion will be front and center, expect locker room drip checks and style breakdowns alongside talk of buzzer-beaters and touchdowns.
With sports and music more intertwined than ever, think tunnel fits, player-curated playlists, and crossover endorsements, 106 & Sports is set to capture the pulse of a generation that sees athletes as entertainers and culture-setters.
Slated to premiere this fall, the show will air weekly, delivering everything from barbershop debates to big-name guest appearances.
Stay tuned for more details on the premiere date, special guests, and how to join the audience, because this fall, 106 & Sports is calling the plays.
