Variety has announced its Actors on Actors lineup for this year’s Emmy season, pairing up the biggest stars in Hollywood.

One of the couples we’re excited to see is Sterling K. Brown and Natasha Rothwell, who will sit down to reflect on their acclaimed work, share insights on the craft, and probably exchange a few laughs along the way.

Brown, fresh off his performance in Paradise, and Rothwell, who’s lighting up screens in both The White Lotus and How to Die Alone, bring an interesting perspective and cultural awareness to the table, making their conversation one of the most anticipated of the season.

Actors on Actors is known for pairing Hollywood heavyweights in intimate, peer-to-peer interviews that cut through the soundbites. It’s less about press junkets and more about pulling the curtain back on what drives the performances we can’t stop watching.

Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh calls this season’s lineup a continuation of the show’s impact: “These illuminating, thoughtful and often hilarious conversations between peers will once again prove why this Emmy- and Webby-winning franchise is the defining web series of awards season.”

Other headline-making duos this season include close friends Dave Chappelle and Mo Amer, who have toured together and collaborated on Amer’s Netflix series Mo; Colin Farrell and Danny DeVito reminiscing about The Penguin; Arnold and Patrick Schwarzenegger serving father-son realness; and Seth Rogen reuniting with Freaks and Geeks co-star Jason Segel.

But the Brown-Rothwell combo, which will be released on June 8, feels especially timely. Both actors have utilized their platforms to push storytelling forward, whether through exploring mental health, racial identity, or the complex beauty of being human.
