Sterling K. Brown and his wife, actress Ryan Michelle Bathé, won an NAACP Image Award for their podcast We Don’t Always Agree with Ryan & Sterling.
During an interview with Black Girl Nerds, Brown received the exciting news live. The interview had just wrapped when a member of Brown’s team dropped the bombshell: “I’m going to break some news. Sterling and Ryan just won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Lifestyle Self-Help Podcast.” Brown reacted to the win, saying, “Are you kidding me? Man, we were up against all these people… That is amazing!”
For Brown, the honor was particularly meaningful because of the impact We Don’t Always Agree has had on both him and his wife.
